"Henry W. KANT, 82, Oak Grove, passed away at the Lutheran Hospital, Beaver Dam, on Sunday, October 11, following a short illness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2:00 p.m., at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Oak Grove. Rev. DOBERSTEIN will officiate and burial will be in the Oak Grove cemetery. The late Mr. KANT was born on Aug. 12, 1882, in the Town of Herman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman KANT. He was married to Minnie ZIMMERMAN on August 29, 1906. Mr. KANT was a farmer in the Oak Grove area all of his life time. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Angela) NEHLS, Watertown, Mrs. Herbert (Elexia) WINEHEIMER, rural Juneau, Mrs. Lawrence (Eldora) BINDER, Burnett, and Mrs. Lorenz (Delores) TAGEL, rural Juneau; one brother, Herman, of Watertown; one sister, Mrs. Nexton COX, rural Juneau; seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Preceding in death was his wife in 1951; parents, one daughter; one brother; and one sister. Mr. KANT was a member of the school board of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Friends may call at the Brendt Funeral Home, Juneau, after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday."
