"Clifford L. SYLVESTER, 80, a retired rancher and a resident of Carbondale for 65 years, died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Glen Valley Nursing Home after an illness of a a month. Born in Minnesota, Mr. SYLVESTER spent his childhood there, and moved to Carbondale as a young man. He was married to Mrs. Emma LYONS 40 years ago. Survivors besides Mr. SYLVESTER's widow include to daughters, Mrs. William (Florence) WINN of Fort Bragg, Calif., and Mrs. W. B. (Lois) HAZLETON, also of California; a brother, Gene SYLVESTER of Winslow, Ariz.; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. Farnum's Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements."
