CARTWRIGHT, former operator of a motor transfer company here and a resident of Knoxville 15 years, died at 3:10 a. m. today at his home, 734 North Fifth Avenue. Mr. CARTWRIGHT, formerly of Bristol, was the son of Prof. Samuel CARTWRIGHT of Bristol. He was a member of the United Commercial Travelers and of Central Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Thursday at Rose Chapel, with burial in East Hill Cemetery, Bristol, Va. Survivors include a sister and several brothers."

Funeral services for William Roland CARTWRIGHT, 75, former Bristolian who died Tuesday in Knoxville, Tenn., will be conducted at Ross Funeral Home Chapel in that city at 10 a. m. today, following which the body will be brought to Bristol for interment at 3 p. m. in East Hill Cemetery. Services at the grave here will be conducted by Dr. J. Stewart FRENCH, with the following pallbearers: Leroy HULL, Jr., Charles PRATT, Jake AARON, Dryden FLEENOR, Edward CARTWRIGHT and Pete CARTWRIGHT. Mr. CARTWRIGHT, who organized one of the pioneer motor truck lines operating between Bristol and Atlanta, Ga., is survived by three brothers, C. P. CARTWRIGHT of Bristol, Charles C. CARTWRIGHT of Ashland, Ky., and S. E. CARTWRIGHT of Big Stone Gap, Va., and one sister, Mrs. Vona B. WILLARD of Knoxville, at whose home he died."
