"Koser's Kakery Has Been Sold. Bakery On North Spring Sold. Will Be Known As The Zahn Bakery. A business transaction has been completed whereby the Koser Kakery, 207 N. Spring St., will be operated under new management beginning Tuesday, March 1st. This bakery will be known as Zahn's Bakery, and Mr. P. A. GUSE of Columbus, will assume the managership of the place Tuesday, March 1st, tomorrow. Mr. GUSE has had eleven years experience in the baking business and has been located at Columbus during that time. Mr. GUSE stated this morning that he expected to move his family to this city and that a formal announcement would be made later. The new management is a member of the American Legion and has a number of acquaintances in this city. It was also stated that a number of changes would be made at this bakery but that business would be continued without cessation. Plans of Miss F. KOSER, the former owner, are indefinite, it was stated today. The Koser Kakery had been in operation the past twelve months, when the baking establishment was purchased from S. COLLINGSWORTH."

"Percy A. (Pete) GUSE, 72, 109 Sloane Circle, Beaver Dam, died unexpectedly Monday morning, Nov. 25, at Lutheran hospital, of an apparent heart attack. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, from St. Stephen's Ev Lutheran church, with Rev. Darvin RADDATZ officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. The late Mr. GUSE was born Oct. 15, 1896, at Manson, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry GUSE. He attended school at Watertown and after serving in World War I, lived in Columbus, coming to Beaver Dam in the 1930s. He operated the Zahn Bakery, Beaver Dam, for approximately 15 years, and was clerk at the Beaver Dam City Garage for 13 years. He was a member of St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran church, and the Dodge County Barracks. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Beverly) COLEMAN, Beaver Dam; two grandchildren, John, and Mrs. Roger (Joanne) NORENBERG; four sisters, Mrs. Emil MATTKE, Watertown, Mrs. Clarence LUDEMANN, Waterloo, Mrs. Walter GOES, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Amanda TMLIN, Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Theodore, of Watertown, and Elmer, of Cedarburg; nieces and nephews. Preceding in death were his parents; one son; one daughter; three brothers and one sister. Friends may call at the Briese Co. Funeral Home after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, and at the church after 11 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of services. There will be memorial services by the Dodge County Barracks at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday."
