A native of the Town of Cambria where he engaged in farming, Ira HOWDER, 65, Lower Mountain Road, died Saturday in Lockport City Hospital after an illness of one year. He was a member of Cataract Lodge, 54, IOOP. Two brothers, Lott HOWDER, Hamburg, and Benjamin HOWDER, Holley, and a sister Mary HOWDER, Buffalo, survive. The funeral will be held at 1:30 tomorrow at the Prudden Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St. Burial will be in Budd Cemetery, Cambria."

(15) Letter written by Frank J. Howder, Esq., of Buffalo, NY to Clarence O. Lewis (Niagara Co. historian) of Lockport, NY, on March 12, 1954. The purpose of the letter was to outline Howder genealogy.

Bachelor. Ran the HOWDER farm along with Burt and Mary Ann. He continued to run the farm after Burt's death, and was the last in the family to continue to work the farm, until he too passed away on January 6, 1945.
