- "James COBB (Henry-1), b. Jany. 14, 1634 at Plymouth... (Barn. Town. Rec. May. Des. 3:73). She was a daughter of George LEWIS, and had been baptized Feb. 11, 1643. 5 June 1667, James COBB was a juror 'on the Grand Enquest'. 3 June 1668, he was on a jury to try Nathaniel SOULE 'for his telling of pnisious lye'. 5 June 1671, he was one of the three Inspectors of the Ordinaries for Barnstable (Plym. Col. Rec.). He lived in Barnstable and died there in 1695, leaving no will, but the settlement of his estate is given as follows [see source document], as found in volumes II and III of Barnstable Probate."
