This Find a Grave record includes a scan from an unknown and undated newspaper (probably from Monte Vista, Colorado, USA):

"Nannie Agnes JACOBS was born near Plattsburg, Clinton county, Missouri, Sept. 1, 1873. She came to Monte Vista with the family in 1887 and graduated from the Monte Vista high school with the first class graduating from that school, taking first honor and delivering the valedictory. She took a year instruction in music in Knox College Conservatory, Galesburg, Illinois. She taught in the Monte Vista grade schools until her marriage on June 21, 1899, when she was united in marriage with Frank G. SYLVESTER. To this marriage were born eight children, six of whom, four girls and two boys survive. Mrs. SYLVESTER united with the Christian church of Plattsburg, Mo., in 1886 and transferred her membership to the Monte Vista Christian church, being one of the charter members and retaining her membership in that church until her death. Mrs. SYLVESTER was a member of the Monte Vista Chapter V.P.E.O., also was a member of the Center lodge of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. SYLVESTER was called to her rest Sept. 23, 1916, aged 42 years and 22 days. The funeral services were held at her late residence Monday, Sept. 25, 1916. Revs. Anderson, Moore, Darley and Roedell officiating. The large number of friends and neighbors present testify to the esteem in which she was held. Of her it can be said she was a true friend, a helpful neighbor, a consistent Christian, and a devoted wife and mother."
