"Amos [SILVESTER],... m. Elizab. HENCHMAN, Nov. 20, 1706, who d. Feb. 11, 1762, ae. 77, and he Oct. 23, 1753. His house stood on Wash'n st., near where that of Rob't. SYLVESTER now stands, and was for many years a Tavern stand, kept by his widow after his decease... When the old mansion was torn down, two chairs were preserved, one of wh. is in the possession of Rob't, and the other of Michael SYLVESTER."
