"Estate of William WARREN. The people of the State of New York to William J. WARREN and John HOWDER -- In having been proved to the satisfaction of our Surrogate Court of our County of Niagara that William WARREN late of the Town of Lockport in said County lately died intestate, leaving personal property to be administered and that you said William J. are a son of said deceased, and having requested that said John HOWDER be joined in the administration and you having severally taken the oath and with searches executed the bond required by law, therefore administration of the goods, chattel and credits of said deceased is granted unto you the said William J. WARREN and John HOWDER -- In testimony whereof we have caused the seal of our Surrogate Court of our said County of Niagara to be hereunto affixed... this 17th day of February 1849."
