"LOVELACE Funeral Services Thursday. Funeral Services for Ross Conrad LOVELACE, 74, who apparently took his own life Tuesday, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Long & Orr Mortuary with Dr. R. L. DUNN officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in the Burt Cemetery. Lovelace was born in South Dakota Oct. 14, 1884, and came with his parents to Portland about 1890. For the last 42 years he has made his home a few miles east of Roseburg where he had a farm. He and Alma Maryann MIDDLETON were married Aug. 30, 1913, at Vancouver, Wash. He was a member of the Christian Church and for many years was active in the Oddfellows Lodge of which he was a past Noble Grand. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Vera) HENRY of Portland, Mrs. Thelma HARRIS of Eugene, and Mrs. Dallas (Carmen) BENNETT of Roseburg; two sisters, Mrs. Flossie WATERS of Colowna, B.C. and Mrs. Mave ILER of Bend, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren."
