"On 15 February 1821 Lewis WESTCOAT of Fallowfield, Crawford County, PA sold to John MOORE of Farmington, Ontario County, NY for $12 one-ninth of a 1/8th undivided share of 36 1/2 acres in the north half of lot 19 south of the center line in township eleven, second range, Ontario County, NY, his portion by heirship from the estate of the late widow Hannah WESTCOAT [Ontario County Deed Records, Book 74, pp. 171-172]."
"Lewis WESTCOAT appears in the 1840 census as the head of a household at Greenwood, Crawford County, PA; his family consisted of one male age 30 to 40 years (himself), two males age 10 to 15 years, one male under five years of age, one female age 30 to 40 years (his wife), one female age 10 to 15 years, two females age 5 to 10 years, and two females under five years of age."
