"The following item taken from the Washington Evening Star of August 5, will be of interest to many: Bethany Baptist Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding this morning at 7 o'clock, when in the presence of a large circle of friends, Miss Ruth MUSSEN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George MUSSEN, and Mr. Charles I. HAYCRAFT, of Bemidji, Minn., were united in marriage by Rev. Hugh T. STEVENSON, pastor of the church. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Everett HAYCRAFT of the Federal Trade Commission. The ushers were Mr. Alfred K. WIMER, Mr. Wallace E. PERRY, Mr. Horace L. STEVENSON and Mr. Edwin T. PARKER. A musical program was furnished by Miss Emma Louise THOMPSON. After a wedding breakfast Mr. and Mrs. HAYCRAFT left immediately for Niagara Falls, Thousand Islands and an extended trip through Canada. They expect to return to the city about September 1, and will be at home to their friends after that time at 16 Randolph Place, northwest."
