Mrs. Samantha SMITH died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry MYERS, December 26, at the age of 84 years, 6 months and 16 days. Up to four months ago Mrs. SMITH made her home with her son, Herman SMITH for the last 20 years. Four months ago she fell and broke her hip. She was taken to the Carroll hospital later she was moved into the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry MYERS who cared for her until her death. She leaves to mourn her loss, 4 daughters, Mrs. George McLEOD of Glidden, Mrs. Julia THOMPSON of Interior, S.D., Mrs. Daisy MYERS of Glidden and one son, Herman SMITH, of Glidden besides three brothers. Funeral services were held at the of Mr. and Mrs. Harry MYERS, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. William T. JONES, pastor of the Presbyterian church conducting the services. Internment was in West Lawn cemetery.
