I have visited Bube's Brewery,
in Mt. Joy, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA.

Reason for Visit: We were in the vicinity of York, Pennsylvania for a weekend. Bube's Brewery was just a short distance away so we scooted over there for dinner on one of the evenings.

Bube's Brewery Exterior: Mount Joy is a small town of about six thousand people in western Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. In that regards it's overshadowed by the nearby town of Lancaster and all the Amish associations but it's still a nice place to visit. Bube's is easy to find with easy parking along a side street. It's quite an interesting place, the site of an earlier brewery with its heyday in the late Nineteenth Century. It remains almost completely intact and has been undergoing years of restoration. Yes, it takes up this entire block in the photograph. |

Bube's Outdoor Biergarten: Bube's has many different personalities, fine dining in a Victorian setting or way down in the Catacombs, or a much more casual experience in the Bottling Works or the Biergarten. The weather was perfect and we were dressed casually so we headed straight to the Biergarten. There was even an acoustic guitarist adding to the ambiance (you can see him in the background of this photo). This turned out to be a most excellent choice on our part. |

Hops Growing Up a Trellis: I happened to notice this rather robust hops vine growing in one corner of the Biergarten. There's also a smaller one just getting started on the wire frame to its right. They looked healthy and robust, and hopefully will be filling a brew kettle later this summer. |

Sampler: We enjoyed a meal and of course a sampler of Bube's handcrafted beverages while we dined al fresco. We almost bypassed Bube's because we were worn out after a long drive to York. We were certainly glad we kept it on our list and that we went a little bit out of our way to reach it in spit of our original laziness. |
