Capitol City Brewing Company

Only the NY Avenue location remains open, and it no longer brews on premise

I have visited Capitol City Brewing Company,
in Washington, District of Columbia (New York Ave., and Massachusetts Ave.); Arlington, Virginia; and Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
Cap City is down to two locations, and only the Arlington location brews on-premise anymore.
Brewery/Brewpub Location Map
- Follow this link for a map of all the breweries and brewpubs I have visited.
Reason for Visit: I lived near many of these locations. They are a great chain and make excellent beers, many of which have been awarded medals.
Front of Coaster: The Capitol City Brewing Company coaster is red and brown on a green background, with white border and accents. A large 3-dimensional star, off-center towards the top dominates the design. The name of the brewery arcs across and under the star. The "Capitol City" referred to by the brewery is Washington, DC, where it first started.
Glassware: The pint glass contains the same logo, acid etched on glass. It includes the location where I obtained the glass as well.
Glassware: This pilsner style sample glass was used one year in Capitol City's Oktoberfest beer festival in Shirlington, Virginia.
Glassware: And this glass sampler mug was used a different year at the same annual Oktoberfest celebration.
Glassware: Here is the Capitol City growler used to take beer home for off-premise consumption. It is dark, amber glass with a tight-fitting ceramic top for easy resealing. The brewery logo and other information is printed on a paper band around the lower portion of the growler.
Matchbook: And finally, here is their matchbook once again with their familiar logo. |
