Brewery/Brewpub Location Map
- Follow this link for a map of all the breweries and brewpubs I have visited.
Reason for Visit: I imagine we were there for the same reason a lot of other people happen to be in the vicinity -- we were in Gettysburg, PA visiting the famous Civil War battlefield. This brewpub was located in a large converted barn a couple miles outside of the town. As with many of the large buildings in the area, the barn that housed this now defunct brewpub was used as a field hospital during and immediately after the Battle of Gettysburg. I don't normally speak ill of any brewpub, however, this one was probably worth skipping.
Glassware: The Gettysbrew Pub & Brewery pint glass features a red, white and blue design printed on clear glass. The name of the brewpub scrolls horizontally along the top rim of the glass in large font. Below that are the crossed flags of the Confederate States and the United States. This design and color scheme makes perfect sense given the brewpub's proximity to one of North America's most historic and pivotal battlefields. |
Sample list of beers produced by Gettysbrew Pub & Brewery
