Reason for Visit: We have family in the area. Milwaukee is famous for beer, and it's nice to know that in addition to the mass-marketed kind there are some good brewpubs and microbreweries.

Back of Coaster. "Downtown Lites Honey Ale Before gas streetlamps, Milwaukee nightlife consisted of dank saloons and rough and ready backroom bars - to paint this town, you had to be a tough customer. Street lighting brought into vogue a more refined social life - an evening stroll or a carriage ride stopping at new landmarks like the Pabst Theater, Schlitz Pal, Garden or the Miller Beer Gardens. The shif from dark barrooms to airy beergardens was mirrored by the new choice of beers as Milwaukee began to thirst for lighter, cleaner, more refined beers Our Downtown Lites Honey Ale reflects this classic Milwaukee heritage. It's a light, flavorful, crisp ale brewed with wheat malt and a touch of Wisconsin honey. When you visit us, walk along the Riverwalk or the Historic Third Ward streets and remember the golden heritage of Milwaukee culture which inspired our Downtown Lites Honey Ale. Back of Coaster. "Solomon Juneau Ale Solomon Juneau paddled up the Milwaukee from Lake Michigan and settled a trading post near the confluence of three beautiful rivers flowing through bountiful prairies and forests. In his canoe he carried pelts, heavy woolen blankets, wooden paddles, seeds, matches, guns and ammunition and, well, beer. Milwaukee's forefather was a home brewer by frontier necessity but a pilsner lover by birthright. We tip our brewers cap to his memory with his namesake ale inspired by the great European pilsners. It's a golden ale with a crisp dry finish thanks to Saaz hops from the Czech Republic. As Solomon Juneau watched his wilderness post grow into a frontier town, he toasted it with his own brews. Join us in a toast today with our version of Solomon Juneau's Milwaukee Ale. Milwaukee Ale House 233 North Water Street Milwaukee USA"
Glassware: The Milwaukee Ale House pint glass features the brewpub's logo in full color. The name of the brewpub dominates the horizontal part of the image, with an encircled Milwaukee skyline in the background. Below, a ribbon proclaims the motto, "ale's what cures ya."
Glassware - Back: The back features one of their beers, Sheepshead Stout. It's a single color, light blue, with a frosty mug at the center and flanked by playing cards (for playing the card game Sheepshead, no doubt) and barley stalks. |
