Reason for Visit: We decided to visit Scotland during the middle of winter in January 2000 somewhat on the spur of the moment. Actually this worked out fine. The weather cooperated and there were no crowds to be found anywhere. Of course we had to visit as many Scottish microbreweries and brewpubs as we could find during our short time there. Photograph: Moulin Brewery. It's clear from this photo that Moulin is an active brewing operation. You'll notice the kegs and the bags of grain in the foreground, not to mention the van preparing to make a delivery. It's hard to see some of the finer detail on this low-resolution scan but the one circular sign on the left reads "Moulin Brewery / Real Ales / Special Brews." Also, the license plate on the van ends with the text string "BREW," which is a particularly nice touch. |
