Brewery/Brewpub Location Map
- Follow this link for a map of all the breweries and brewpubs I have visited.
Reason for Visit: We were vacationing in Northern Utah, with stops in Salt Lake City, Ogden, Provo, Park City and Bear Lake. This area of Utah has a surprising number of brewpubs given the state's tea-totaling reputation. We stopped at the preponderance of them.
Exterior: We arrived at Red Rock Brewing's Salt Lake City location after a full day of touring around the historic Temple Square complex. The brewpub is very centrally located within the downtown area. It's also no more than about a block from Squatters Pub Brewery if you want to do a mini brewpub crawl.
Coaster: The Red Rock brewery coaster features a fairly simple design. The background image is a light-colored beer, perhaps a pilsner with a foamy top, like it's been freshly poured into a glass. The name of the brewery appears within a six-sided border more rectangular than equal-sided, white letters on a red background. It also notes two of the brewpub locations, Salt Lake City and Park City, along with the brewery website address.
Interior: It's open and modern inside of the brewpub. Don't be fooled -- it was actually much more crowded than it appears in this image. There was quite a happy hour crowd off towards the right and the back. We were in an area fronting the street which was reserved for diners and filled up by the time we left.
Sampler: Of course we ordered a sampler. This was certainly one of the more unusual sampler presentations I've seen. I thought it was rather inventive (although the glasses tended to get stuck in those wrought iron bands, which can lead to an interesting situation when they're filled to the brim). |
