Reason for Visit: We were visiting Bend, Oregon for eight nights and decided to visit every brewery and brewpub in town, eventually accomplishing every stop on the legendary Bend Ale Trail.

Exterior: Silver Moon Brewing occupied a small, nondescript storefront near an underpass on a major road. That made it a bit complicated to enter due to a chain link fence that separated the sidewalk from the roadside as it passed through the underpass. We came on foot from the cluster of several other Bend breweries and brewpubs, making Silver Moon part of an entertaining pub crawl. |

Interior: Silver Moon was primarily a brewery although it contained a nice, basic taproom at the front of the facility. Many of its beers were available on tap and they also offered a basic pub menu for snacks or meals. It's nothing fancy although you don't really need fancy to sit down, relax and enjoy some of their beverages. |

Sampler: As usual, we wanted to try as many different beers as possible so we ordered a sampler of various Silver Moon brews. That seemed to make sense because we were visiting several brewpubs the same afternoon. I would have liked to have stayed longer although we had to move on to the next spot. |

Glassware: I did purchase one of their sampler glasses to take home and put into the collection. It included the Silver Moon logo, with a waxing crescent moon, and the words Silver Moon in script on either side with the letter "M" looping onto the crescent. |

Coaster (Front): The same Silver Moon logo adorns their coaster, with white graphics on a black background. The brewery seems to be quite adept at leveraging social media, with the website URL, a Twitter handle and a Facebook account all included. Oh, and they even include a telephone number for those who prefer to communicate in a more traditional manner. |

Coaster (Back): The back of the coaster includes a larger 3-D crescent moon with a list of many of their beers ringing the left side of the perimeter. |
