Brewery/Brewpub Location Map
- Follow this link for a map of all the breweries and brewpubs I have visited.
Reason for Visit: I was in Denver, CO on business. Idaho Springs, where Tommyknocker is located, is actually pretty close to Denver although it seems like it's in a rather rural area.
Front of Coaster. The Tommyknocker Brewery explains that English miners from Cornwall brought their superstitions along with them when they came to work the Colorado gold and silver mines in the 19th Century. They believed that little elf-like creatures lived unseen in the mines and were sometimes mischievous but otherwise warned of dangers. These creatures were called Tommyknockers. So the Tommyknocker Brewery coaster features one of these little creatures with mallet and chisel in hand, mining a barrel of beer. The name and location of the brewery are contained within a circular band around the image to complete the logo. The entire design is printed in two colors on a white background on this square coaster. |
